I’m a working DoD ISSO. I maintain live ATO packages, run continuous monitoring, and work in eMASS daily — the same material I write about on this site. Two ways to work with me:
ISSO Career Coaching — $150/hour
A 60-minute 1-on-1 video call for people breaking into the field or leveling up. Best fit if you want:
- Interview prep — real DoD interview questions, RMF scenario walkthroughs, and what Booz Allen, Leidos, and Peraton interviewers actually probe for
- Breaking in without clearance or experience — a realistic plan based on your background, not generic “get Security+” advice
- Resume review — rewriting your bullets in the language DoD hiring managers and ATS filters look for
- Cert planning under DoD 8140 — which certs move you forward and which waste your money, including CISSP timing
- ISSO to ISSM path — honest assessment of where you are and the fastest route to the next level
RMF / ATO Consulting — $250/hour
For teams and contractors working an active package. I’ll tell you what a validator is going to flag before they flag it:
- ATO package review — SSP, POA&M, and artifact review against what assessors actually check
- eMASS guidance — package structure, control implementation statements, inheritance strategy, and the mistakes that stall packages for months
- Pre-validation gap check — a walkthrough of your package before the SCA sees it
- Continuous monitoring setup — a ConMon rhythm your team can actually sustain after the ATO is signed
Note: consulting is limited to unclassified, publicly available RMF/NIST guidance and your own documentation. Nothing we discuss should include classified or CUI material.
How It Works
Send a message below with what you’re working on. I’ll reply within 1–2 business days with whether I can help, and if so, we’ll schedule a time. Payment is by invoice once we’ve scoped the work — no charge until we’ve agreed on what you need.
Not ready to reach out yet? Start with the free resources: join the ISSO Insider newsletter, grab the RMF Checklist ($27) or POA&M Tracker ($37), or browse the articles.
